Hi, I'm Rosabel (Rose)

My journey into calligraphy began with hand-lettering though it's hard to remember when I first started learning being someone who has a million hobbies and who just likes to give everything a little bit of a go. What I do remember is slowly exploring typography art, lettering, brush lettering, before eventually finding my love with the dip pen after being gifted a quill from Paris. That moment felt different. Like I had finally found something I truly wanted to stay with.

In 2021, I had the opportunity to be a part of my first live calligraphy event and in 2022, I expanded into engraving on fragrance bottles and other glass pieces. Since then, it’s become something I’ve grown deeply connected to - not just the craft itself, but the experience of creating something personal, in the moment, for someone else.

This journey has brought with it so much more than a skill. It’s given me a deeper appreciation for detail, introduced me to a community of incredibly talented creatives, and quietly shaped the way I see and express myself.

On a personal note, I was born in Singapore and grew up in New Zealand. Whenever I visit Singapore, a plate of Hokkien Mee is a must, along with wandering through boutique craft and stationery stores.

. Life at home is quieter, usually spent with my two cats - Mina the calico who’s super sweet, and Bumi, who’s our silly and playful boy.
