ENGRAVED KEEPSAKES
Engraving involves using our specialised tool to slowly and delicately etch your chosen design in to the surface of glass, metal, and selected plastics and ceramics. The result is a permanent and personal touch that lasts a lifetime.
For a little something extra, we also add what is called an ‘engraving fill’ in your choice of gold or silver. This gives the engraving a shine and helps the lettering stand out gorgeously.

The Engraving Process

STEP ONE: DRAFTING
Once design and placement are confirmed and approved through your digital mock-up, we carefully sketch the lettering onto the surface and triple check every detail.

STEP TWO: ENGRAVING
Using our engraving tool, we slowly etch the design onto the surface. We go over a second time to mimic the thin and thick strokes of calligraphy script.

STEP THREE: COLOUR FILL
We carefully give the design a dust-off and clean, and from here, it can be left as is for a frosted look or we add your chosen engraving fill colour.

STEP FOUR: IT'S DONE!
Once the engraving fill is added, it’s all done!! (NOTE: Colouring cannot be added to items that are intended for food / drink consumption)

Most commonly I engrave fragrance bottles, but I can also engrave glass e.g champagne flutes, whiskey bottles (anything non-carbonated), metal and some plastics and ceramic. Surfaces need to be smooth to allow for a beautiful finish.

Yes! Please fill out the form so I can get a bit more information about the item and its material. You can either send it directly to the studio or, if you’re based in Auckland, drop it off in person.

For perfumes or items that contain flammable liquids, I highly recommend having the item shipped directly from retailer to the studio as they are already equipped to safely ship flammable goods.
If you’re based in Auckland, you’re more than welcome to drop the item off in person.
Should you wish for the item to be couriered back to you, a $35 NZD fee applies, as these items require special handling.

Turnaround depends on the current bookings, but please allow a 2 week turnaround for digital mock-up and engraving, once the item has been received.

For larger designs, multiple lines, or custom artwork, a personalised quote will be provided once we know your desired design and the item to be engraved.
